Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is the difference between Embrace Grace and Embrace Life Support Groups?

Embrace Grace is a support group for single + pregnant women, whether they choose to parent, choose to place for adoption or they are already a mom to a newborn.

Embrace Life is a support group for single moms, no matter how old their kids are. The curriculum is written for unwed moms.

Both support group types are geared towards 15-30 year old women, but churches are encouraged to be Holy Spirit led and welcome those who are younger or older!

  1. Chat with our team so they can answer your questions: 817-755-8487.
  2. Present it to your pastor, download THIS to help you prepare for your meeting.
  3. Sign Agreement - a no-cost digital form that is required to be filled out by both the woman who is starting a support group and the oversight pastor at the church.

+ Why does a Pastor Have to Sign an Agreement Form?

Due to the sensitivities of a woman walking through an unplanned pregnancy, we want to make sure that if she attempts to get help from a local church, that the churches we are partnering with are safe and loving. Many times, the women who attend our support groups do not have a church upbringing or have been hurt by the church. It's important that the oversight pastor signs off acknowledging that your church is safe, loving and a shame/ judgement free zone.

+ How has COVID19 affected Church-Hosted Support Groups?

While connecting single + pregnant women and single moms to healthy and loving churches where they can be discipled and invited into a forever church family is our primary goal, we know that WE as believers are ‘the church’. We carry the light! Our team quickly went into action to help transition our churches from an in-person support group format to online with virtual support. We created an entire section in our free Online Leaders Training that outlines what to do. NOW MORE THAN EVER there is a need for the church to step and host Support Groups online!

+ What Does it Cost to Start a Group?

There are no sign up fees, monthly/annual dues. The only cost is the Group Materials needed to facilitate the program. View Embrace Grace Group Materials HERE. View Embrace Life Group Materials HERE.

+ Can I Set Up a Meeting between My Pastor, Myself and an Embrace Grace Team Member?

Yes! Our team would love to meet with you and your pastor via a phone call or zoom meeting. Contact 817-755-8487 to set that up!

+ I Am So Excited About This, But Am I Qualified? Who Can Lead This Support Group?

If you love God and love people and are a woman - you are qualified!

Do you have an unplanned story? Have you experienced abortion? Are you connected to adoption? OR NOT? Having an unplanned story is not a prereq. If God put this idea on your heart - it's for a reason! He always equips the called!

Is He calling you?

If God places compassion into the heart of the men and women around you for single moms - it's for a reason! Men can play a HUGE role in helping a support group succeed. Encourage the men of your church to look for opportunities to serve these single moms. Is there something that needs to be fixed at her house? Does she need resume help? Maybe she wants to learn how to budget? Equip the men of your church to not only seek single + pregnant moms to invite to your church for support, but consider encouraging him to start an Embrace Legacy Support Group for single dads!

Get creative and ask the Lord how both men and women in your church/community can help!

+ After Our Church E-Signs The Agreement Form, What Happens Next?

  1. Our Groups Support Team will reach out via phone and they can’t wait to meet you!
  2. You will receive access to the free Online Leaders Training, which will take between 3-4 hours to complete.
  3. Once the Online Leaders Training is complete, you can start building your team, if you haven’t already! God may have already put someone on your heart to reach out to or ask your church leadership to refer other women. We strongly advise 2-3 women commit to lead the Support Group at your church weekly.

As your group size may grow, we suggest 1 leader for every 3-4 attendees.

+ Once I turn in the Agreement Form, how do I promote the Support Group in my community?

We have a whole training section on this topic, but here are our top three suggestions:

  1. Share at your church - during a weekend service, at a women’s event or via your church’s social media pages for church members. Or host a Share the Love event to launch the kickoff at your church!
  2. Visit your local pregnancy center(s) to let them know about your church starting a support group!
  3. Create a Social Media page (think Facebook or Instagram) where you can connect directly with women in your community!
